Emma Rose Friendship Framed Picture!!

Here she is, first to release in the Emma Rose Series, Emma Rose Friendship! I hope you like her and want to stitch her, she is done in Needlepoint Silks on 40 ct Lakeside Vintage Buttercream linen...of course, you can choose any count of fabric! Lots of fun colors and lots of fun details, don't you think?

This is NOT a great picture, but I didn't have much time for my usual photo shoot. But I think that you can see the design well! It should be clickable, to view a larger size.

Needlepoint Silks

I am still stitching Emma Rose Christmas, but hoping to have it ready in the next few weeks. Emma Rose Friendship and Quaker Peace will be releasing next week, so if you are interested, let me know.

I would like to ask for your input...I probably won't be releasing anything else new until the Nashville Market in February of 2011! I would like for you to post what it is you would like to see me design...if there is a particular verse, theme, type, season, etc you would like to have in your possession to stitch, I would love to know about it! Post in this thread, or feel free to email me personally. I will be picking a couple of names from a draw, whether you post here or email me, you will be counted in that draw. You will receive your choice of released patterns, if your name is drawn!

Thank you so much for your encouragement, your support and your thoughts! They are more appreciated then I can express to you! I will be having the drawing on Friday, October 22, 2010! Feel free to post about it on your blog, if you wish and you can share the picture of Emma Rose Friendship!! Thanks again!!!

Fondly, Jan @ Tree of Life Samplings

Congratulations, this is a wonderful design!! It's a must add for my wish list.
Hmmm my tastes are so scattered but I do find I'm leaning more towards the samplers. I'm also partial to autumn and Halloween stitches particularily when they're more of a folk art finish.
Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see the Christmas sampler.

Emma Rose Friendship is just beautiful, dear friend! I love the colors used, the frame molding and of course, it has houses! Way to go on another winning design!

I would love to see the "time and season" verse in one of your designs! Maybe some medium sized pieces as well!

Looking forward to seeing Emma Rose Christmas in the near future!

Jan, first of all, Emma Rose is just a wonderful design, both the sentiment and the colours you've used! I look forward to seeing the Christmas one. I am very partial to 'series' pieces.

As to what I'd like to see, well, I do love Autumn/Halloween,time and season, houses, alphabets, family, love, bees or sheep!!!!

These are both lovely! I'll be e-mailing you soon. :) I'd love to see something in springy colors maybe about creation or more proverbs or sayings or mother/daughter or mother/son :) Just some ideas? :)

So pretty! I love this one! As for what I'd like to see in the future, gosh, I don't know. I love A&E samplers, so that's a thought!

Emma Rose Friendship looks beautiful, Jan. Can't wait to get my copy!!

Oh Jan, Congrats on this beautiful piece! It is absolutely stunning as I am sure the Christmas counterpart will be as well.... I favor samplers as many do....But maybe a series of them where you focus on a monochramatic color scheme in each...Just a thought..You know I love deep reds, blackish green and caramel tones..... Am I sounding too tradional?
Anyways, I am sure your next design will be stunning and cannot wait to see it (them)!~

What a fabulous design, Jan! You are doing so great with your designing, and I especially love this design.
I would love something with the saying "Simplicity". Another great quote is Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication". I want to stitch that sometime.
I'm so happy to see your business is doing well. Keep it up!

I am so happy to have discovered "Tree of Life Samplings". The Emma Rose Friendship series is just wonderful, and I can't wait to see more, especially the "Emma Rose Christmas" sampler. Such a sweet name for a sampler series too!

Another great design, Jan!

When I first read that you were looking for suggestions, I thought 'I couldn't possibly have any ideas.'

But do you know what? There is so such ugliness in the world with bullying, I'd like to see something beautiful about harmony, acceptance, understanding, unity, tolerance, kindness and some other words that I'll think of once I've finished posting. With wandering vines and flowers and a home, for that is where the stamping out of bullying must begin as many children learn to bully in their home through the treatment of their parents.

Wandering off, slightly embarassed...

Emma Rose is so cute!

I am partial to anything with birds, sheep and flowers in it, but I am realy drawn to anything which has to do with the sea and sea life. An then there is Adam & Eve, too.

Thanks!

Jan, this is just a wonderful design. I love Emma Rose! It has everything that attracts me in a design - houses, birds, a tree, an alphabet.

Emma Rose is sooo pretty, Jan! I love it.

Add me to the A&E chorus. But you knew that already. ;)

I also love Biblical verses... maybe something with them and Emma Rose? Yeah, there's a reason why I'm not a designer! ;)

I'd have to go with samplers as well
Christmas themes are grand
How about a set of Christmas mini samplers with special jeweled ornaments depicted in each one to make a lovely set - change the tones for each piece (hunter, burgundy, carmel ...) but keep a basic theme - Pine trees, snowflakes, gazebos(to suspend the ornaments from)& little Christmas decorated homes ...-
You could offer the new designs each month February thru Christmas
How delightful ;)

Good Luck
Take Care

Congrats on your new release.
It's beautiful.
I would like more Halloween-type designs.
Anything with fall colors too.
Emma Rose Christmas sounds pretty.

I love all of your designs!! I love samplers, Adam and Eve types are great. Being the mother of three boys, I find myself saying the Serenity prayer quite often - that made incorporated into a primitive sampler style would be great!

I think Emma Rose is such a pretty sampler, and I love the bottom part of the houses! Just a beautiful design!

My suggestions for themes would be Autumn, Halloween and I LOVE nautical!

What a beautiful design - and I also love the Peace piece :-)

How very kind of you to seek input! I would love to see a "not so large" sampler-type design with colors I've been drawn by lately like aqua/teal and not quite red - something like a red/tea color.

Wow, a lovely design.
Hmmm. February, spring (here), valentines day:
I would love to see something romantic but not kitsch: how about something celebrating long lasting love: love for a long term-partner, something which goes through the seasons, through winter to spring, rough times to good. What marriage is really like hehe.

Emma Rose Friendship is so pretty! You really have a way with picking just the right colors. Can't wait to see Emma Rose Christmas.
I love samplers, anything with houses, a memorable verse. You could use quotes by famous Americans such as Eleanor Roosevelt, Abraham Lincon, the Founding Fathers. I also like fall and Halloween pieces, but without witches. Maybe a Treat house or Harvest Home sampler. How about doing more quakers? Quaker Thankfulness, Quaker Spooky, Quaker Love, an anniversary or Wedding Quaker, Quaker Winter with snowflakes?

So many good ideas here! What attracted me to your designs in the first place were the vivid colors and the Biblical verses/hymns. I'd love to see something from the Virtuous Woman section of Proverbs in one of your designs.

Its almost like you read my mind, Ive been wanting a design just like this, love the colors, and especially love the birds and willow..two of my fave motifs!

I'd like to see, autumn themes, they're my most favorite, and also love to see old verses incorporated.

congrats tho, on a beautiful design!

I love Emma Rose and could be a big possibility for me since my Grandma's name was Emma (although she hated it)and she loved roses. Perfect combo! I can't wait to see Emma Rose Christmas.

I love the idea of an Emma Rose seasonal series.

I love pieces with verses of inspiration. I also love birds and houses. How about something with a bird verse like "Faith is the bird who sings while it is still dark" but anything from anyone that lifts the heart is good. I am still working The Sparrow and loving every stitch of it!

Sherry said...

How about "a bird does not sing because it has an answer. it sings because it has a song"

If you are still stumped, go over to www.quotegarden.com for a whole bunch of different quotes and verses.

Congratulations on the beautiful Emma Rose Friendship!

I'd love to see a design of the four seasons together each with a house and trees, animals, flowers and verse/alphabet.

Thanks,

I love this design and shall be buying it. It is absolutely stunningly gorgeous.

Ideas? I would love to see you design some small things like needlebooks and pinkeeps. Because your style is so unique I think they would be extremely popular.

Hope this helps.

Love the new design!

I have been trying to find a design with a pastor/priest in his robe holding a Bible standing by a church, preferably also with a wedding couple. The pastor is my stumbling block. I've seen churches galore, and brides and grooms, but not the pastor. My dad was a pastor. Ever since he passed away about a year and a half ago, I have wanted to do a memorial to him but haven't been able to find a suitable design in my searches. I was thinking that by having the couple, it could work for my needs as well as having a wider appeal as a wedding sampler. I can picture it in my mind, but I'm just so not a designer.

I'd like to see something with "HOPE" in the verse, or about being hopeful. Sometimes, in the midst of turmoil, I need to remember to hold on to hope, that things will get better.

I like your color schemes. Your designs are attractive.
